Choose Word that can replace whole sentence:

You should use words that can replace the part from the sentences and make it possible to remove certain lines from the paragraph. It saves you from over explaining and keeps the web content length very short. Remove the words that are obstacle between to the clarity of the content.

Pictures for Words:

You may hear that pictures speak thousand words then it is useless to write thousand words. You can use some related pictures to give information in concise way instead of writing those lengthy paragraphs.

Use Passive Voice less as Possible:

Active Voice: Around 180 nations play football

Passive Voice: Football is played by around 180 nations.

The sentence written in active voice is short yet clear than written in passive voice.
